Grabs and Lockouts will not be employed until January of 2009
What are Grabs?
A: The Consensus Mock Draft is computer generated and will assign players based upon the priority levels set at each position,
and the players available. But there may be a player that a team will want who is not at a position of high need. For example,
there may be a Running Back of such transcendental ability that the team may wish to "GRAB" if the player would happen to fall to that team.
Our team correspondents are able to identify a handful of players to place on a Grab list. If then the player happens to be available at
the time of the teams selection, the program will skip over its selection algorithm and assign the Grab player to the team.
What are Lockouts?
A: The program will attempt to find a player that fits the highest need - without reaching too far down the list.
But there may be a certain player at a position of need that a team is not interested in for some reason. If said player is identified and
placed on the Lockout List, then that player will be bypassed by the programs logic when it comes time for the team to select.
